Let us be thankful for the fools.  But for them the rest of us could not succeed.  Mark Twain

We often find someone worse than ourselves so we can think “at least I’m not that guy”.  There is someone else though who is seemingly better than we are, at least for a day.  We console ourselves by looking down on another.   In truth, we are all examples of wisdom on some days and foolishness on others.  Let’s stop comparisons and support each other on the bad days.  It won’t help any of us, in the long run, to celebrate another’s’ failure.  When someone, for whatever reason, is the fool of the day, have compassion.  We all could be that fool and probably will be eventually.
