Aromatherapy is defined as the art and science of using natural extracted oils from plants for stress reduction, to promote a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Aromatherapy can enhance one’s natural healing process. A few types of oils and their purposes:
Orange–Used for relaxation and refreshing (a citrus scent).
Lavender–Used for calming (a sweet, floral, herbal scent).
Lemon Grass–Used for refreshing and instilling awareness and alertness (a citrus scent).
Peppermint–Used for healing and pain reduction (a sharp, refreshing scent).
Chamomile–Used for calming (a sweet, slightly spicy herbal scent).
