BATTLE WITH DEPRESSION

Sometimes I battle with depression.  I never know all the reasons for this “dark pit”, as it seems to me.  Some of it may be hurt pride.  Sometimes it is obviously exhaustion, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.  At times, when I am tired and strained, I can get angry over an incident that may be quite trivial in itself; and then I get angry with myself for getting angry.  As I suppress both forms of anger, depression is the result.  I am then even more difficult to live with than usual.  I do not want people to get too near me, but I hope very much that they will not go too far away either.  (David Watson, YOU ARE MY GOD)
