It’s great to be around people you can be stupid with. I don’t mean to ACT stupid, I mean to BE stupid. That’s really not worrying about what people think. It’s one thing to act stupid with people–everyone knows it’s a act. To actually BE stupid–to admit your ignorance, lack of knowledge, lack of skill and ineptitude around someone is to really trust that person. Who can know our weakness and not use it against us? Who can refrain from manipulating us with this knowledge? Who can know our fears and instead of playing on them help us remain strong against them? These people are our friends. These are the people we can trust with our stupidity. Who are they? DW 1/2/17.
