Ways to improve respect from others:

  1. Stop apologizing when you haven’t done anything wrong
  2. Don’t explain yourself
  3. Don’t give reasons when you say no
  4. Don’t seek reassurance or validation
  5. Don’t share your fears or worries
  6. Don’t change your mind under pressure, shaming or guilt-trips
  7. Don’t let someone else have their way by calling you selfish
  8. Exercise your right to be wrong, make mistakes and do things others disagree with
  9. Don’t even respond when someone is being rude or insulting (even disguised as a joke)
  10. Don’t ALWAYS put yourself last so someone else can ALWAYS be first
