If you tend to worry about people not liking you think about this….
What if you don’t like them?
People who worry about whether people like them or not tend to try and like everyone and rarely admit, even to themselves, that they don’t actually like everyone.
Think a few minutes and honestly admit who the people are you don’t like. When you worry about a specific person not liking you think really hard about whether you like that person anyway.
Chances are you don’t.
If you try to like everyone and don’t admit it when you really don’t like someone then it’s going to be hard for you to be OK with someone not liking you.
Other things to think about when you worry about this sort of thing:
What’s the worse that could happen if they don’t like you?
Who are they to you anyway?
If they don’t like you then you don’t have to worry about trying to please them.
You can just not be liked.
It’s really a relief.
